Gas Prices during the Depression
Hoovervilles were characterized with many hardships. Migrants were often forced to move to another area or even state for
search of opportunities. Though it would seem like Heaven today, but back then even a few cents made a difference when it
comes to gas. Gas prices fluctuated and often whether a migrant would move or be stationed in a nearby Hooverville. See below
or a table of common gas prices.
